Why Choose Me Over Insurance Dietitians or Weight Loss Medications?
With so many options, I understand that it can be overwhelming to choose the right path when it comes to achieving your weight loss and wellness goals.
Let’s look at the differences between working with me, an insurance-based dietitian, and using prescription weight loss medications so you can make the best choice for your journey.
Option 1: Working with Me – Personalized, Concierge-Level Care
Perfect for: Women who want a personalized program, with sustainable solutions in a one-on-one guidance and support. What You Get: A 100% personalized plan tailored to your goals and needs and according to your lifestyle and preferences. Ongoing support and accountability through a private app used for tracking and unlimited text/email access and weekly private Zoom sessions. Realistic solutions for eventual circunstances such as dining out, traveling, socializing or managing a busy schedule. Coaching that addresses and educates on how to regulate emotional eating, stress, and triggers that can affect your progress or maintanance. Expert guidance from a nutritionist dietitian with 30 years of experience and thousands of successful clients. A focus on building sustainable healthy habits so you can maintain your ideal weight or body composition for good.
Option 2: Working with an Insurance-Based Dietitian
Perfect for: Women who need a basic or generic plan and limited support from a provider who might not have many years of experience. What You Get: Typically limited, one-size-fits-all plans based on standard guidelines. Appointments often last less than 30 minutes, with minimal follow-up or accountability. A lower-cost option for those with insurance coverage. Advantages: Can be cost-effective if covered by insurance. Access to credentialed dietitians. Drawbacks: Generic advice: Plans may not be tailored to your unique lifestyle or challenges. Limited support between sessions—often no real-time coaching or guidance. Some insurances require medical referrals for disease-related conditions like diabetes and hyperlipidemia. Time constraints: Sessions are often short and focused on meeting insurance requirements rather than your long-term goals. Providers typically have an average of 5 years of experience
Option 3: Using Prescription Weight Loss Medications
Perfect for: Women looking for a medical solution to jumpstart weight loss, particularly those with obesity-related health concerns. What You Get: A pharmaceutical approach that suppresses appetite and promotes weight loss. Results that are often quick and noticeable in the short term. Advantages: Effective for reducing appetite and initiating weight loss. May be covered by insurance for certain individuals. Drawbacks: Side effects: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and fatigue are common. High cost: If not covered by insurance, medications can cost thousands of dollars annually. Weight often returns after stopping the medication unless lifestyle changes are made. Does not address emotional eating, habits, or triggers, leading to potential relapse. Does not modify habits Requires ongoing prescriptions and doctor visits

FAQs
What makes this program worth its value?
With over 30 years of experience, I have refined and perfected my program using a combination of ongoing research and theoretical learning with real-life client experiences. I was not an expert coming out of grad school: I became one with the years of learning from different women and their unique experiences. My program goes far beyond following a meal plan, counting macros or the typical nutrition counseling. I offer a highly personalized, one-on-one coaching that is tailored specifically to your reality, lifestyle, preferences, and goals. I also help tackle barriers, mindset limitations, and other challenges that can affect not only your progress but your quality of life. Unlike other programs, I am 100% involved in your journey, providing ongoing support through your private app, during our sessions, and between appointments via encrypted text messages. I'm available everyday (except Sundays) to answer your questions, help you make real-time decisions, and guide you every step of the way, ensuring that you have the tools, accountability and encouragement you need to succeed. My approach is not just about providing a meal plan—it's about creating a sustainable, enjoyable, and realistic path to achieving your long-term goals.
I need to know more before I commit, should I book a call?
Yes, definitely! During our Zoom call I'll show all the specifics of the program and at the end, we can see if we're a good fit for each other. There's a questionnaire for you to fill out ahead of our meeting so I can understand your goals. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions you'd like.
Will you give a meal plan? Shopping list? Recipes?
On an individual basis, I give a personalized meal, shopping list, etc. However, after the initial nutritional analysis, we identify what already works in terms of nutrition and optimize it according to your goals. This way, including other foods will be easier and we are not changing everything at once.
I travel and have work dinners. Will I have to take foods with me?
You will not need to take foods, except maybe some convenient snacks. I will guide you on what to do in different situations and be prepared when things change. I have guidelines and tools for any type of lifestyle.
Will I have to log my foods and keep track of my weight?
Yes, you will have to log foods for at least 1 month. I use this method to analyze your current nutrition and then to keep track of your new plan.
Is your program online or in-person?
My program in 100% online.
What about my food preferences and restrictions?
I create a nutrition plan adapting any food restrictions, preferences or avoidances. It's no problem at all.
Do you recommend specific exercises?
Yes, I can recommend specific exercises and create a monthly plan. This can be added to the app, by connecting your phone or smart watch so we can keep track.
Do you make supplement recomendations?
I prefer real foods, but most of all will not get all the nutrients we need even with a perfect diet. With that said, I do recommend a few supplements to compliment your nutritional needs.
